Composition and release form

Natalsid is produced in the form of rectal suppositories: torpedo-shaped, light gray with a creamy tinge (5 pcs. In blisters, 2 packs in a carton box).
    The active substance Natalsid is sodium alginate, in 1 suppositories - 0.25 g.
    Auxiliary components: solid fat (suppposir, witepsol).

What does Natalsid help?

According to the instructions to Natalsid, the drug is intended for the treatment of such problems:

    colitis.

Sodium alginate is a natural saccharide. It is isolated from seaweed. Thanks to hyaluronic acid, which regulates cellular activity, the tool has a reparative (healing) and anti-inflammatory effect.
    The therapeutic effect is manifested due to the content of sodium alginate in the suppositories, which is obtained by processing laminar algae. The drug is characterized by a pronounced hemostatic effect, which contributes to the suspension of bleeding and accelerate the process of wound healing. Natalsid is also able to eliminate inflammation due to incessant tissue irritation and relieve pain syndrome.
Alginic acid contained in the medicinal substance contributes to the envelopment of hemorrhoids and the rectal wall itself. With this component, the drug has an analgesic effect, reduces sphincter spasm.

Instructions for use

According to the instructions for use of the suppository, Natalsid should be injected into the previously cleaned (spontaneously or with a cleansing enema) intestine.
    Adult patients are usually prescribed administration of 1 suppository Natalsid twice a day. The average duration of a course of therapy is from 7 to 14 days.
