Depantol is a combined preparation with antimicrobial and regenerating action in the form of suppositories (for local use in gynecology) or a cream for external use.

Release form and composition

Dosage forms of Depantol:
    vaginal suppositories: torpedo-shaped, with a funnel-shaped depression, white with a gray or yellow tint, or white, marbling is acceptable (5 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box 1 or 2 packages);
1 suppository contains:
    active ingredients: chlorhexidine bigluconate - 16 mg (in the form of a 20% solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate - 85.2 mg); dexpanthenol - 100 mg;
    auxiliary components: macrogol 400, macrogol 1500.

Pharmacodynamics

Depantol is a drug for local and external use, the combined composition of which has an antimicrobial, regenerating and metabolic effect due to the pharmacodynamic activity of the components of the drug:
    chlorhexidine: an antiseptic that is active against the following gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms - Treponema pallidum, Gardnerella vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp. (speciales), Streptococcus spp., Ureaplasma spp., Escherichia coli, Bacteroides fragilis, Staphylococcus spp., protozoa (Trichomonas vaginalis), dermatophytes, yeast. Some strains of Proteus spp. Exhibit mild sensitivity. and Pseudomonas spp. Acid-fast forms of bacteria and bacterial spores are insensitive to chlorhexidine;
