Description

Pharmacokinetics

Suprax is a semisynthetic third-generation broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that acts bactericidally, inhibiting cell membrane synthesis, and is resistant to the action of beta-lactamase produced by most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Dosage and administration

Adults:
The recommended dose of Suprax is 400 mg (one capsule) per day. For the treatment of uncomplicated urethral or cervical gonococcal infection, Suprax is recommended at a dose of 400 mg orally once.
