Instruction for Neurobion

You can buy Neurobion on this page

The vitamins contained in the preparation - thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (B6) and cyanocobalamin (B12) - are neurotropic substances and play a special role as coenzymes in the intermediate metabolism occurring in the central and peripheral nervous system.
The therapeutic use of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 makes up for the often existing insufficient intake of vitamins from food, which ensures the presence in the body of the necessary quantities of coenzymes. The use of vitamins in the form of a complex increases their therapeutic efficacy, since it is believed that the effectiveness of the combination is superior to that of individual components.
The use of Neurobion in various diseases of the nervous system is aimed at compensating for the existing deficit (possibly due to the increased need of the body, caused directly by the disease) and stimulation of the natural recovery mechanisms.
The analgesic effect of the drug has a beneficial effect on the therapeutic outcome.

Overdose

Very high doses (more than 10 g) of vitamin B1 have a curare-like effect, which is manifested by a decrease in the conductivity of nerve impulses.
Vitamin B6 has low toxicity, but long-term administration (more than 6–12 months) in doses of more than 50 mg daily can lead to peripheral sensory neuropathy.
Exceeding the dose of vitamin B6 (more than 1 g / day) for several months can lead to neurotoxic effects. When using more than 2 g / day, neuropathy with ataxia, sensitivity disorder, convulsions, hypochromic anemia, seborrheic dermatitis are possible.
After parenteral administration of vitamin B12, the recommended doses were a benign form of acne, eczematous skin disorders. With prolonged use in high doses, the activity of liver enzymes may be disturbed, hypercoagulability, pain in the region of the heart may occur.

Drug interactions

With the simultaneous use of Neurobion tablets with Levodopa, vitamin B6, which is part of the preparation, can reduce the anti-Parkinsonic effect of Levodopa.
With simultaneous use of the drug with pyridoxine antagonists, for example, with penicillin, cycloserine and isoniazid, the patient's body's need for vitamin B6 increases.
The drug Neurobion is not recommended to appoint the patient at the same time with chelators or antacids, as the latter violate the process of absorption of B vitamins by the walls of the small intestine.
When the drug is combined with diuretics, calcium reabsorption is blocked, which leads to an increased removal of vitamin B1 by the body and a decrease in its level in the blood.
Drinking alcohol while taking the drug Neurobion can reduce the absorption of vitamins.
