1 suppository contains:
    active ingredients: lomefloxacin hydrochloride - 0.4 g, prostate extract - 0.1 g (which is equivalent to the content of 0.02 g of water-soluble peptides);
    auxiliary components: solid fat - witepsol (grades W35, H15) and suppositor (grades NAS50, NA15).

Pharmacodynamics

Vitaprost Plus has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect in the treatment of bacterial infections of the prostate gland.
Lomefloxacin is a drug from the group of fluoroquinolones. Possesses a pronounced bactericidal activity against a wide range of microorganisms. The mechanism of action lies in its effect on bacterial DNA gyrase (an enzyme that provides DNA supercoiling). As a result, a complex of lomefloxacin with gyrase A2B2 subunits (DNA tetramer) is formed, which leads to disruption of DNA transcription and replication and, as a consequence, the death of a microbial cell.
The high activity of lomefloxacin is manifested against the following gram-negative aerobic microorganisms: Citrobacter diversus, Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Enterobacter cloacae, Salmonella speciale. parainfluenzae, Haemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Moderate sensitivity to the drug is manifested by Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Serratia marcescens, Serratia liquefaciens, Hafnia alvei, Chlamydia trachomatis, Aeromonas hydrophila, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Enterutiffi st. Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella oxytoca.

Instructions for the use of Vitaprost Plus: method and dosage

Suppositories Vitaprost Plus are used rectally after spontaneous bowel movement or with an enema.
Recommended dosage: 1 pc. 1 per day. After the introduction of the suppository into the anus, you should take a horizontal position for 30-40 minutes.
The course of treatment is 10-30 days (determined for each patient individually).

Side effects
