Zoely is an innovative combined, monophasic, micro-dosage oral preparation that contains hormones similar to natural ones.

Release form and composition

Zoely is available in the form of film-coated tablets, which are white, round and biconvex in shape. The tablets are engraved with "ne" on both sides.
The active ingredients of Zoely's tablets are estardiol hemihydrate and nomegestrol acetate. Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate and colloidal silicon dioxide are present as auxiliary substances.
Placebo pills are yellow in color, rounded biconvex and engraved with "p" on both sides.

Pharmachologic effect

Estradiol is a naturally occurring estrogen that is identical to endogenous human 17β-estradiol (E2). E2 does not have an ethynyl group in the 17α-position, unlike ethinyl estradiol, which is part of other oral combined contraceptives.
Nomegestrol acetate is a highly selective progestogen that resembles and has a similar structure to the natural steroid hormone progesterone. It has high antigonadotropic activity, moderate antiandrogenic activity and has no estrogenic, androgenic, mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid activity.
Zoely pills have a contraceptive effect due to a combination of different factors, the most important of which are changes in the secretion of cervical mucus and suppression of ovulation. After the abolition of Zoely's pills, ovulation in most women is quickly restored.

Zoely's route of administration and doses

The drug is taken orally. According to the instructions, Zoely should be taken every day at the same time, regardless of the meal, in accordance with the order indicated in the instructions. If necessary, you can drink a little water.
According to the instructions, Zoely is taken one tablet per day for 28 days. During the first 24 days, white tablets are taken, the next 4 days - yellow ones, which do not contain the active ingredient. Typically, two or three days after taking the last white Zoely pill, withdrawal bleeding begins, which may not stop until you start taking the pills in the next pack.
