pharmachologic effect

The active ingredient of the drug diclofenac injections is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which has pronounced analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Indications for use

Contraindications

Dosage and administration

Diclofenac, a solution for intramuscular injections, should be administered individually, in the minimum effective dose for the shortest possible period of time. The drug is administered by deep injection into the gluteus maximus. Do not use diclofenac injections for more than 2 days in a row. If necessary, treatment can be continued with diclofenac tablets or rectal suppositories. When conducting intramuscular injection in order to avoid damage to the nerve or other tissues, it is recommended to adhere to the following rules. The drug should be administered deep intramuscularly in the upper outer quadrant of the gluteal region. The dose is usually 75 mg (contents of 1 ampoule) 1 time per day. In severe cases, as an exception, 2 injections of 75 mg each can be given, with an interval of at least 12 hours (the second injection should be carried out in the opposite gluteal region). Alternatively, a single injection of the drug per day (75 mg) can be combined with taking other dosage forms of diclofenac (tablets, rectal suppositories), while the total daily dose should not exceed 150 mg. In migraine attacks, the best result is achieved if injections diclofenac is administered as early as possible after the onset of the attack, intramuscularly at a dose of 75 mg (1 ampoule), followed by the use of suppositories at a dose of up to 100 mg on the same day, if required. The total daily dose should not exceed 175 mg on the first day, then no more than 150 mg. The solution should be clear. Do not use a solution with a crystalline or other precipitate. The drug ampule should be used only once. The solution should be injected immediately after opening the ampoule. After a single application, the residues of diclofenac solution for injections unused for treatment are no longer used. Do not mix the solution of diclofenac, contained in ampoules, with solutions of other drugs for injection.
