Ophthalmic - water for injection, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, lactic acid, sodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride.
The action of ear drops
Bacterial infections of the ears and eyes are often complicated by the formation of pus. Drops show high efficiency in the treatment of diseases at an early stage, as well as when complications appear. The drug has a local bactericidal effect against gram-negative and gram-positive flora.
Cipromed acts on bacteria during dormancy and division. The causative agents that are sensitive to the drug are hemophilic and E. coli, salmonella, chlamydia, pseudomonas, enterobacter, citrobacter, klebsiella, as well as staphylococci, diphtheria corynebacterium, streptococci, yersinia, neisseria and many others. In the chamber of the eye, the concentration of the agent reaches its maximum mark after 1 hour. Plasma half-life is 5 hours. The antibiotic is excreted mainly by the kidneys, as well as by the intestines.
Indications for use
Drops are prescribed for the treatment of diseases of the inflammatory nature of the organs of hearing and vision, as well as as a prophylactic agent to prevent infection of organs in case of injury. Indications for use in otorhinolaryngology are:
acute, chronic otitis externa;
infectious complications after surgery;
acute and chronic otitis media of the middle ear;
prevention of infectious otitis media when extracting foreign bodies from the ear canal;
syringitis.
Drops Cipromed are used as a prophylactic agent in preparation for surgery (and after it) on the eyes and ears.
Contraindications, drug interaction
Cipromed is not used to treat diseases of the organs of hearing and eyes during pregnancy and lactation, intolerance to the constituent elements of the drug. Eye drops are contraindicated for children under 12 months old, ear drops are prohibited for persons under 15 years of age. A relative contraindication is acute perforated otitis media, in which the drug is allowed to be used, but with caution.
Drops Cipromed are incompatible with chemically or physically unstable agents with pH 3. Doctors do not recommend using Cipromed simultaneously with other antibacterial agents, since their interaction can aggravate the course of the disease or none of the drugs will have the desired effect. If the use of 2 antibiotics is necessary, the interval between them should be at least 10 minutes.
Mode of application
It is forbidden to use the product internally - only externally. Before the procedure, the ear canal is cleaned of external sulfur and pus (if any). To apply drops, you need to pull the earlobe back and down and squeeze out 5 drops. The procedure should be performed 3 times a day. The duration is determined by the doctor. To prevent the product from flowing out of the ear, you can close it with a cotton turunda.
Use in pregnant women and children
The remedy is contraindicated when carrying a child and feeding, since the antibiotic penetrates into the blood and breast milk. If during the period of feeding the drug cannot be replaced with an analogue, feeding is stopped for the duration of treatment. At this time, milk is expressed to maintain lactation. Resume 4 days after the drops are canceled (this time is enough for the drug to be excreted from the body).
According to the instructions, ear drops are prohibited until the age of 15; before this age, its analogs are used. For children, eye drops are used upon reaching 12 months, the dosage and duration are determined by the pediatrician. Whether it is possible to drip a remedy to a child, only a doctor can tell.

Reviews
Valeria, 22 years old
I often drive with an open window, apparently because of this, my left ear began to hurt, a feeling of congestion appeared and some discharge from it with an unpleasant odor. I went to the doctor, there was purulent otitis media of the external ear. They wrote out drops of Cipromed. On the third day of application, the hearing returned to normal, the congestion disappeared, there was no discharge, and I stopped dripping, although I had to apply it for 7 days. But after a week, the symptoms returned, I had to return to the drops again, but it was already dripping for a week, and for a year now, otitis media has not appeared.
Anastasia, 35 years old
I have been suffering from chronic otitis media for a long time, it gets worse all the time, especially in winter. I tried a lot of tools, stopped at Cipromed. It very quickly reduces swelling in the ear, which causes congestion and pain. Personally, I have no side effects. I even bury these drops in my nose with a cold, and they also help a lot.
