Indications
Acute allergic rhinitis, acute respiratory infections with rhinitis, sinusitis, hay fever; otitis media (to reduce swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx). Preparing the patient for diagnostic manipulations in the nasal passages.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Rinostop, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, severe atherosclerosis, glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, thyrotoxicosis, surgical interventions on the meninges (history), pregnancy, children (up to 6 years - for 0.1% solution).
With caution
Lactation, angina pectoris, prostatic hyperplasia, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes mellitus, childhood (for 0.05% solution - up to 2 years, for gel - up to 7 years).
Structure
Active substance of Rinostop: Xylometazoline.
Release form: 1. Nasal drops 0.05%; 2. Nasal drops 0.1%; 3. Spray nasal 0.05%; 4. Nasal spray 0.1%.
Mode of application
Intranasally. Drops for the nose for adults and children over 6 years of age - 2-3 drops of 0.1% solution or one injection from the spray Rinostop into each nasal passage, usually enough 4 times a day; for infants and children under 6 years of age - 1-2 drops of 0.05% solution in each nasal passage 1 or 2 times a day; should not be used more than 3 times a day. Nasal gel (only for adults and children over 7 years old) - 3-4 times a day lay a small amount of gel as deep as possible in each nasal passage. The last time the gel is usually laid shortly before bedtime.
Interactions
Incompatible with monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.
Side effects of Rinostop

Rarely - swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmias, increased blood pressure, headache, vomiting, insomnia, impaired vision; depression (with prolonged use in high doses).
Special instructions
Rinostop should not be used for a long time, for example, with chronic rhinitis. For colds, in cases where crusts form in the nose, it is preferable to prescribe in the form of a gel.
Pediatric Use
