Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
Sodium hyaluronate - a natural polymer found in the tissues of the eye, activates the regeneration processes and has an antiseptic effect. An important physical property of sodium hyaluronate is viscoelasticity, as well as the ability to bind and retain fluid.
Vismed gel has a high viscosity in the absence of blinking processes and low viscosity in the blinking process itself. This ensures complete enveloping of the retinal surface. Eliminates irritation and dryness.
When the cornea is damaged, the hydrogel components penetrate into microcracks, while protecting the sclera from even greater damage.
The use of the gel does not cause any adverse effects on the organs of vision, it is not washed off during blinking movements. The film formed on the cornea is saved for a long time and does not cause discomfort.
The manufacturer did not provide data on pharmacokinetics.
