Composition, dosage form

Trehalose is the active ingredient in Thealoz drops. This organic compound was first isolated from ergot; it is also found in algae, yeast, higher fungi, lichens, and in some higher plants. 100 ml of the medicinal composition contains 3 g of the active component of the solution.
It also contains the following additional ingredients:
    trometamol;
    hydrochloric acid;
    sodium chloride, or sodium chloride;
    purified water.
Thealoz is a sterile, isotonic ophthalmic solution with a neutral pH and no preservatives. The drug is produced in 10 ml polyethylene bottles. The ABAC multi-dose vial has a 0.2 micron membrane filter that prevents bacterial contamination of the solution.
