With regard to the nervous system, the clinical picture can worsen on an increasing basis - at first there is weakness and drowsiness, then irritability or apathy appears. Many complain that they have carefully studied the instructions for use of Singlon, which gives a warning about suicidal behavior and depression.

Pregnancy

Despite the fact that medical studies on the effects of Singlon on the body of a pregnant mother have not been conducted, there are known cases of congenital malformations of the extremities in newborn babies whose mothers used the medicine during gestation. In this regard, the reception at all trimesters is not recommended, with the exception of individual cases. There is no specific information about the penetration of montelukast into breast milk, therefore, when prescribing treatment, the doctor must compare all the existing risks.

Application for children

special instructions

Due to the presence of aspartame (E951 supplement) containing phenylalanine, use of Singlon is contraindicated in children diagnosed with phenylketonuria. The medicine is not used to relieve severe asthma attacks - inhalations with beta-adrenostimulants should be prescribed for this. With a side effect of eosinophilia in the treatment of bronchial asthma, oral glucocorticosteroids will help eliminate unwanted symptoms. The patient should be warned about the threat of the development of other pathological conditions - neuropathy, exacerbation of heart and vascular diseases. Driving vehicles and other dangerous types of work are excluded while taking the drug. The average price for Singlon chewable tablets (0.005 g) in pharmacies ranges from 700 to 900 rubles.

Drug interaction

Singlon is perfectly combined with classic medicines intended for long-term AD therapy. If the tablets are used in the prescribed dosage, their interaction with histamines, bronchodilators and anti-asthma drugs is neutral. Montelukast also does not affect the effectiveness of tablet, synthetic contraceptives such as Norethisterone and Ethinyl estradiol. The drug enhances the effect of inhaled glucocorticosteroids - with a positive effect, the dosage of GCS is reduced gradually, while it is undesirable to dramatically replace them with Single.
