Buscopan is a drug from the group of blockers of m-cholinergic receptors.

Composition

The active ingredient of suppositories is hyoscine butyl bromide in a dosage of 10 mg. As auxiliary components used purified water, solid fat.

Dosage, method of application

Overdose

To date, no overdose has been reported.

The use of Buscopan suppositories can enhance the effect of tricyclic antidepressants, antihistamine medicines, disopyramide.
With simultaneous use with metoclopramide, a weakening of the effects on the gastrointestinal tract of both drugs is observed.
Buscopan suppositories can contribute to the development of tachycardia, which is triggered by the use of beta-adrenomimetics.

The drug is used with extreme caution in case of suspected intestinal obstruction, with benign prostatic hyperplasia, with tachyarrhythmias and atrial fibrillation.
