Chophytol refers to choleretic herbal remedies. Its therapeutic effect is due to the field artichoke included in its composition. The drug is produced in tablets and in solution for internal use.

Indications

Chophytol tablets are included in the treatment regimen for the following diseases:

During pregnancy, Chophytol improves metabolism, improves blood microcirculation in the placenta and other organs, and reduces edema. All this reduces the risk of toxicosis and oxygen starvation of the fetus.

Method of administration and dosage

Chophytol tablets should be taken before meals. They can be prescribed for children over 6 years old. The dosage of the drug is selected individually depending on the patient's age.
Children over 6 years of age are prescribed 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
The daily dosage for adults is 6-9 tablets, it must be taken in 3 doses.

Contraindications

Composition

The tablet shell contains the following components:
    gummilac;
    rosin;
    calcium carbonate;
    talc;
    gelatin;
    sucrose;
    palm wax;
    twin 80;
    dispersed dye (sucrose, iron hydroxides, methylparaben, ethylparaben).

Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics

Chophytol is a herbal preparation. Cynarin and phenolic acids, which are part of the artichoke leaves, have a choleretic and hepatoprotective effect.
Thanks to vitamin C, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin and inulin, artichoke normalizes metabolism.
In addition, the drug has a diuretic effect and promotes the excretion of urea.
Since the therapeutic effect of the drug is observed due to the several active components that make up the artichoke, it is therefore impossible to conduct kinetic observations.
All of its active ingredients cannot be traced using markers and biological research.

Storage conditions
