Pharmacodynamics

Prospan is a medicine derived from plant materials. It is characterized by anti-inflammatory and wound healing effects. The saponins that are part of the drug have antibacterial and antifungal activity, and hederosaponins and triterpenoids provide an antispasmodic, expectorant and mucolytic effect. Flavonoids improve microcirculation, are hepatotrophic and nephroprotective, activate diuresis and promote the excretion of uric acid salts from the body.

Pharmacokinetics

Since Prospan contains many biologically active components, being a dry extract of ivy leaves, it is not possible to study the pharmacokinetics of the drug.
