Release form and composition

Pectusin is available in the form of resorption tablets weighing 800 mg: round-cylindrical, round, from white to white-yellowish (blotches of a darker or lighter color are allowed), with bevel and notch, specific menthol and eucalyptus odor, sweet-mint cooling taste ( 10 tablets in blisters, 2, 3 or 5 packs in cardboard packs).
Active substances contained in 1 tablet:
    L-menthol (levomenthol) - 4 mg;
    Eucalyptus oil - 0.5 mg.
Additional components: powdered sugar (sucrose), calcium stearate, purified talc, sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (sodium carmellose), microcrystalline cellulose.

Indications for use

Pectusin is used as part of the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, etc.

Contraindications

    Stenotic laryngitis;
    Bronchial asthma;
    Diabetes;
    Spasmophilia;
    Sucrose / isomaltase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption, fructose intolerance;
    Age up to 8 years;
    Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Precautions: pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and administration

Pectusin is a topical preparation: it should be kept in the oral cavity until the tablet is completely dissolved. Do not chew!
Adults are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3-4 times a day, for children over 8 years old - 1 tablet 1-2 times a day.
The duration of treatment is 5 days.

Side effects of Pectusin

Phytopreparation is generally well tolerated. Side effects are rare and are expressed by allergic reactions (usually itching in the face and urticaria).

1 tablet Pectusin contains approximately 750 mg of carbohydrates, which corresponds to 0.06 XE (bread units).
Pectusin does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions and the ability to concentrate, therefore, it can be used by patients regardless of the scope of their professional employment.

There is no information on the pharmacokinetic interaction of Pectusin with other drugs / substances.
