When using the product, you must monitor the appearance of undesirable effects. If they persist, you need to stop treatment and consult a doctor. Patients with cardiovascular pathologies need to monitor water-salt metabolism.
After applying the ointment, there may be a transient decrease in vision clarity. This effect leads to some inhibition of reaction and impairment of the ability to concentrate. This means that for the period of treatment, one should refrain from driving and working with complex mechanisms.
It is forbidden to use hydrocortisone eye ointment if fungi or tuberculosis infection are the cause of the inflammatory process. This is due to the fact that corticosteroids suppress the immune system in the eye area.
The withdrawal of the medication should be gradual. Moreover, this does not concern a decrease in the number of procedures, but a decrease in the amount of the drug applied to the conjunctival sac.

I use Hydrocortisone ointment for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis in all categories of patients, incl. in children. The drug is well tolerated and does not cause side effects. For children, I prescribe small amounts of this drug 2-3 times a day. If the patients follow all the recommendations, their condition improves, there is no relapse of the disease.

Hydrocortisone ointment is an effective remedy for the treatment of infectious eye diseases. Patients tolerate treatment well, do not suffer from side effects. I prescribe the remedy for pregnant and lactating women without any problems, but at the same time I recommend not using it for more than a week. Even during this short time, the manifestations of eye diseases completely disappear.
