Indications for use

To reduce angina attacks in patients with normal sinus rhythm:
1) in case of intolerance or in the presence of contraindications to the use of beta-blockers;
2) in combination with beta-blockers with inadequate control of symptoms of stable angina pectoris against the background of the optimal dose of beta-blockers.
To reduce the incidence of cardiovascular complications (mortality from cardiovascular diseases and hospitalization due to worsening of the disease) in patients with chronic heart failure, with sinus rhythm and a heart rate of at least 70 beats / min.

Contraindications for Raenom

Hypersensitivity to ivabradine; rare pulse (before the start of treatment, the resting heart rate is less than 60 beats / min); acute myocardial infarction; severe arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg, diastolic blood pressure less than 50 mm Hg); severe liver failure; severe disturbances in the rhythm and conduction of the heart; simultaneous use with blockers of "slow" calcium channels, which slow down the pulse; pregnancy and breastfeeding period; age under 18; lactose intolerance.

Method of administration and dosage

Raenom should be taken orally 2 times a day during meals, in the morning and in the evening. The initial dose is 10 mg per day (1 tablet 5 mg 2 times a day) for patients under the age of 75 years. After 2-4 weeks of use, the daily dose can be increased to a maximum of 15 mg (1 tablet 7.5 mg 2 times a day).

Side effects

Bradycardia (rare pulse) and photopsia (change in light perception) are dose-dependent and are due to the mechanism of action of Raenom; dizziness.
