Ichthyol is an anti-inflammatory drug for local use with keratoplastic and anesthetic effects.

Release form and composition

Dosage forms:
    Ointment for external use 10%: dark brown with a characteristic odor (25 or 100 g in cans, in a cardboard box 1 can; 100 g in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube; 25 or 30 g in aluminum tubes, in a paper bundle 1 tube);

    1 g of ointment 20% - 200 mg;
    1 suppository - 200 mg.
Auxiliary components:
    Ointment 10%, 20% - petroleum jelly;

Pharmacodynamics

The active substance in the composition of the Ichthyol preparation is ichtammol (Ichthyol), has anti-inflammatory properties, has a local anesthetic, keratolytic and antiseptic effect.
