Release form and composition

Dosage is produced in the following dosage forms:
    Nasal spray 0.1%: odorless solution, colorless, transparent (10 ml each in bottles with a spray bottle made of low density polyethylene and a screw cap made of high density polyethylene, with an opening control system, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
1 ml of the drug contains:
    Active ingredient: xylometazoline hydrochloride - 1 mg (nasal spray);
    Auxiliary components: sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, distilled water.

Pharmacodynamics

Dlyanos is a vasoconstrictor for topical use in ENT practice. Xylometazoline - the active component of the drug - belongs to the group of local vasoconstrictors (decongestants) with alpha-adrenomimetic action.
The mechanism of action is based on the narrowing of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, which leads to the elimination of edema and hyperemia of the nasopharyngeal mucosa.
With rhinitis, Dlyanos facilitates nasal breathing, used in therapeutic concentrations, the mucous membrane does not irritate and does not cause flushing of tissues.
The action develops over several minutes, its duration is up to 10 hours.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, xylometazoline is practically not absorbed; plasma concentrations are below the detection limit.

Indications for use

    Acute respiratory infections (ARI), accompanied by rhinitis (runny nose);
    Acute allergic rhinitis;
    Eustachyitis;
    Sinusitis;
    Hay fever;
    Otitis media (to relieve swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx).
According to the instructions, Dlyanos is also used in preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures in the nasal passages.

Contraindications

Absolute:
    Tachycardia;
    Arterial hypertension;
    Severe atherosclerosis;
    Atrophic rhinitis;
    Hyperthyroidism;
    Glaucoma;
    History of surgery on the membranes of the brain and / or spinal cord;
    Period of pregnancy;
    Children's age up to 6 years (nasal spray 0.1%);
    Hypersensitivity to the components of the solution.

    Prostatic hyperplasia;

Instructions for use Dlyanos: method and dosage

Dosage is administered intranasally.

Nasal Spray 0.1%
Children over 6 years of age and adults are recommended to do 1 injection from the nebulizer in each nasal passage (repeated pressing is allowed if necessary), 3-4 injections per day.
For optimal administration of the Dlyanos spray, you must:
    Hold the spray bottle upright with the nozzle pointing up;
    Insert the nozzle into the nasal passage;
    Press the sprayer sharply and quickly 1 time, while breathing a little air through the nose;
    Without opening the spray gun, remove the nozzle.
